Turito (they/them) is an independent musician, DJ, and multimedia performance artist working at the intersection of club theater, electronic music, and queer nightlife. Splitting time between Austin, Texas, and New York City, they have established themselves as a prominent figure in alternative electronic and LGBTQ+ subcultures.
Turito’s music defies genre, weaving together heavy, dark industrial rave beats, soft atmospheric soundscapes, Latin percussion, and pop-punk energy. Their multimedia and nightlife performances serve as conceptual explorations of contemporary digital and social culture, with a strong focus on queer stigma, sexual liberation, and technology. Turito has been nominated for Best DJ of Austin by The Austin Chronicle and previously has received 3 Best of Austin Awards for their work in music and nightlife. Their Debut album “in my head.” is a intimate snapshot of Turito’s creative world.
